Jiggle Challenge Last Week

Weight Loss Challenge

This is the last week of the jiggle challenge, and all I can say is that I'm so glad I participated. I joined the jiggle challenge to be accountable for my weekends, because I would do great on weekdays and splurge on the weekends. The second reason is go get out of my 175 rut. I have been 175 for several months and wanted motivation to workout harder and eat better.

I started the challenge in the second week with a weight of 175 and I am proud to say that this is my weigh in for the last week...

I lost a total of 7.6 pounds!! I did this by doing Crossfit and eating 6 times a day. I had a couple of cheat days but I made sure to workout harder the next day.

Here is my percentage of weight lost throughout the challenge

Week 2 was my start weight 175 height 6'2
Week 3 0.91% loss
Week 4 1.15% gain
Week 5 0.57% loss
Week 6 1.72% loss
Week 7 1.81% loss
Week 8 0.36% loss

and that brings a total of 4.34% total loss!!

All I can say is that this weight loss took hard work. There is no easy or quick fix for weight loss. There is no magic pill out that can make you lose weight, the secret is eating right and working out. Calories in Calories out!!! Good luck to all that participated in the jiggle challenge I'm kinda sad that this is my last post about it, Good bye and Good luck! Hard Work Pays Off!!!!

Jiggle Challenge

Weight Loss Challenge

Well I am proud to say that this has been a great week!! I have been on my meal plan from my nutritionist for 1 week. My meal plan consist of eating 6 times a day, 3 meals and 3 snacks. I feel great and have plenty of energy. It is definitely a new way of eating for life! I weighed in yesterday at the gym before my workout and this is what the scale read...

Yes that says 168.0!!!! I am in the 160's!!!! I can't describe how excited and proud I am. Being 6'2 I don't think I have ever weighed in the 160's, not even when I was a college athlete. The best part is that I'm gaining muscle as well. My arms, back, legs, and butt, have never been this muscular, and I have to give all the credit to Crossfit.

When I started the jiggle challenge I weighed in at 175 and now I'm down to 168, I have lost a total of 7 pounds.

Here is my workout for the week

Friday

WOD
Deadlifts 3-3-3
Shoulder Press 3-3-3

3R4T
300 M Row
50 double unders

Saturday

21 Burpees
7 KTE
13 hand clean

As many rounds for 20 minutes

Monday

“Cindy”
AMRAP in 20 minutes

5 pull ups
10 push ups
15 squats

Tuesday

Elipicle glider for 30 minutes

Wednesday

“Mason”

25,20,15,10,5 reps of
KBS (50/35)
MB cleans (20/14)
Push ups
Burpees

Now here is my challenge, I am leaving today to San Antonio for a coaches convention. My goal is to stick to my meal plan as close as possible while going out to eat for pretty much every meal. I am going to pack all my snacks and choose healthy when eating out.

I will report how that goes next week!

Something Blue

I am excited to say that I finished reading Something Blue!

I enjoyed this book. It was nice to read the story for Darcy's point of view and watch her grow into a caring person. I recommend this book, its a fun fast read but you will have to read Something Borrowed first to understand the whole story.

My next book on my night stand is....

I can't wait to get started with this book!!

This weekend the hubby and I saw Bridesmaids.

Go out and watch this movie it is hilarious. The last time I laughed this hard was when I saw the Hangover. The hubby even liked it, he thought it would be a chick flick but he laughed just as hard.

Jiggle Challenge

This week is a good week I lost 2 pounds!!!! I am weighing 171!! I started of at
175. I am so close to the 160's and this is a milestone for me because I've never weighed in the 160's.

I'm really excited because I started seeing a nutritionist. It was a real eye opening experience. The nutritionist helped me realize that I was eating way too many fruits and sugars. For example, I would eat 5-7 servings of fruits per day, I would put honey and brown sugar in my oatmeal, and I would add honey to my Greek yogurt, and I would eat Skinny Cow ice creams when I had a sweet craving. Don't get me wrong fruits are important part of a diet but I was eating too many servings and fruits have lots of natural sugars. So Lance who is my awesome nutritionist came up with a general plan and a personal meal plan for me.

Here is my general

Alex’s diet plan

This first part is your Daily Recommendations. I want you to look over it, but your daily plan is listed after. This is what I used to make your plan.

Resting Metabolic Rate(RMR) = 1658kcal/day
Recommended kcal intake on non-workout days is 1600kcal/day
Recommended kcal intake on workout days is 1850kcal/day

Workout Days

2 cups Fruits
- Fresh or frozen choices
- ½ cup in the mourning and the rest spread throughout the day

2 - 3 cups vegetables
- fresh or frozen choices
- Spread evenly throughout the day
6oz whole grains
- Whole grain or 100% whole wheat pasta, bread, or anything made with flour
- Can substitute 2 oz of quinoa, buckwheat, or amaranth for 2 oz whole wheat
5 - 6oz lean meats
- try to use mostly chicken breast, turkey breast, fish, seafood, and lean pork
3 cups milk or sub
- has to be non-fat milk product
- 1.5 oz of cheese equals 1 cup of milk
- other choices include cottage cheese, yogurt, frozen yogurt, and pudding
6tsp Oils
- these are usually acquired throughout the day in cooking or your meats
- don’t try to get these(just showing you how much you were allowed)
267 kcals leftover
- left over calories to with as you please, but again I wouldn’t count these.
- these get counted usually when we have an “oops day”

Non-Workout Days
(the same recommendations apply for the amounts below)
1 ½ cups fruits
2 ½ cups vegetables
5oz whole grains
5-6oz lean meat
3 cups nonfat milk or sub
5 tsp oils
132 kcals left over

For my personal plan I am keeping that to myself.

I can't wait till next weeks jiggle post because I will have been on the diet plan for about a week.

For my workout plan its my faithful Crossfit workouts!!

Saturday

“Jackie”

team or individual
1k Row
50 thrusters (45)
30 pullups

Monday

2.2 mile run

Tuesday

Front Squats 5-5-5
or thrusters 5-5-5

4R4T of:
15 wall balls (20/14)
15 pull ups

Wednesday

“SECTIONAL 11-2″

9 deadlifts (155/100)
12 Push ups- hand release
15 Box jumps (24/20)

Tail Wagging Tuesday

Today's topic for Tail Wagging Tuesday is your pets favorite dog treat.

Sophie loves treats! Here are some of her favorite treats.

Even though these are not the exact same cookies, she loves these doggie gourmet cookies that they sell at Pet's Mart.

She also loves these little tiny treats called Little Jacks. We used these treats during potty training.

Sophie loves to steal Cash's rawhide. We don't let her have any because she has small teeth, but that doesn't stop her from trying to sneak a taste. Here is a picture of her caught in the act of stealing Cash's rawhide.

Something Borrowed

I enjoyed the movie I thought it was good. I thought the movie stayed true to the book with some little changes. For instance, Ethan had more of a role in the movie, and another major thing was at the end. She found his coat instead of his watch, if you have read the book you know what I mean.

I thought Kate Hudson did an amazing job as playing Darcy the diva.

Ginnifer Goodwin was the perfect Rachel. Ginnifer looks great in the movie, I even thought that in some scenes she looked better than Kate Hudson.

And of course Dex what gorgeous!!!

Overall its a good movie go out and check it out!! I started reading Something Blue and so far its really good, its based on Darcy's point of view.

Fun Fridays!!!

Wooo Hooo its Friday!!! There are only 3 more fun Fridays until I am off for summer!!! I can't wait because the month of May is hard for students and teachers.
Anyhoo, I'm really excited because I finished reading Something Borrowed last night and now I am ready to see the movie!!!

Kate Hudson is one of my favorite actors I loved her in How to lose a Guy in 10 days, she is fabulous!!!

Saturday I'm waking up early for a Crossfit workout and then probably heading out to the Whitepoint Chili Cookout. Hopefully I don't go overboard with the chili eating and the beer drinking.

Sunday I'm going to spend time with my mom for Mother's day. I'm going to cook dinner for her, not quite sure what I'm cooking but I'm sure I'll think of something.

Link up with A Girl in Pearls & A Boy with Toys for Fun Fridays, and I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Jiggle Challenge

Weight Loss Challenge

Ok well last week I had a 2 pound gain thanks to my indulgence on Easter weekend. This week I lost 1 of those pounds. I wish it was more but its just one tiny winy pound. I need to start taking measurements because my clothes are fitting looser but not much weight is coming off. So I'm hoping that I'm gaining muscle which weighs more than fat. I am lifting heavier weight in my crossfit workouts so I know I'm getting stronger.

I'm going to start seeing a nutritionist (one of our trainers at crossfit is a nutritionist), and I'm really excited about this!! The reason I decided to see a nutritionist is because I'm getting bored with what I'm eating. Lets face it, its hard for someone to eat salads everyday. I'll keep yall updated on this when I find out more info, I just talked to Lance (nutritionist) yesterday to get the basic info about getting started.

For my weeks workout

Saturday
5k race 31:08 time

Sunday
Off

Monday
“Teighlor”

AMRAP in 15 minutes:

10 Ring Dips
10 Pistols (5 each)
10 DB Shoulder Press (25/50)
5 HSPU

Tuesday
“Sectionals 2-1″

AMRAP in 10 minutes :
30 DU
15 power snatch (75/55)
ground to overhead

Wednesday
OHS 5-5-5

3R4T:

row 500m
run 400m

Thursday
WOD

6R4T:

10 deadlifts (225/155)
10 Burpees

Ok enough about the jiggle challenge, Today is May 5!! Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!!!

My husband and I had our first date on Cinco de Mayo. We went to on the border and had margaritas and chips & salsa, and the rest was history!!
