Go Spurs Go!!!!

The San Antonio Spurs play the Grizzlies tonight at Memphis for game 6. The Spurs need to win tonight so they can play game 7 in San Antonio. Game 5 was an amazing game that ended in overtime. I'm hoping that the Spurs can win the next 2 games, and move on to the next serious. If they do the hubby and I will try and get tickets for one of those games. I'm nervous because Memphis is a talented and younger team, so lets just hope experience can come through in this series.



Fun Fridays!!

I'm so glad its Friday and this week is over. I have 4 more weeks of work and then its summer time!!!

After work today I'm going to Academy to go buy some workout gear. I need a new workout outfit because tomorrow morning I will be running my first 5k!!! I have to look my best coming in the finish line lol. I'm really excited about my run tomorrow, I've been training so its test time. I will be running with the crossfit group, the 5k is actually our workout tomorrow. The hubby will be golfing tomorrow so he isn't going to be there to cheer me on but that's ok.

Saturday night we are having dinner at my favorite restaurant Nikkos with some friends. As for Sunday I need to clean.

Jiggle Challenge Week 4

Weight Loss Challenge

Well I wish I had a weight loss to post this week, but I don't. I actually gained 2 pounds. My clothes fit the same and I feel and look the same from last Thursday, I'm just 2 pounds up. I knew this would be a tough week because of the Easter weekand and I pretty much ate like it was my last supper. Friday I went to a crawfish boil and I'm sure I ate around 3 pounds of crawfish. Saturday my family bar-b-qued and I didn't hold back. Sunday I had leftovers and I just didn't eat too healthy. It was a special occasion I don't regret the weekend, I just can't have too many weekends like that.

My week workout with Crossfit

I am so proud of myself for finishing this workout my time was 56:46!!! And even tho I probably burned about 800 calories in this workout I probably ate 2000 of it in

What I'm Loving Wednesdays

Its hump day, and I'm so ready for the weekend!!!
Somethings that I'm loving right now...

My Nike App...I can't go on enough how this is an amazing app for running.

I'm loving how mangos were 5 for a dollar at the grocery store. I ate one yesterday and it was so sweet!!!

I love that I'm about finished "Hush" a book I'm reading by Kate White that is a real page turner.

and after I finish "Hush" I'm going to start reading "Something Borrowed" and I can't wait to see the movie!!!

Sophie weekend pics

This past weekend was a great weekend. I enjoyed spending time with family and all the delicious food I got to eat. Oh, and Water for Elephants is an exceptional movie. I recommend y'all go out and see it. Reese Witherspoon looks amazing in this movie. I loved all her costumes and outfits that she wore. The movie makes me want to go out and buy the book and start reading.

Fun Fridays!!!

I'm so glad the weekend is here, its been a long rough week. This morning I did a tough crossfit workout my legs still feel like jello. Since my week was a tough one I decided to stop at Starbucks this morning to treat myself to a Mocha light venti frap and it was goooood!!! I'm excited because I just have to work till 1:00 today and then I'm heading out to a crawfish boil!!!!

Saturday I'm going to do my crossfit workout and its going to be a tough one. I convinced the trainer to tell me tomorrows workout, because workouts don't get revealed till 8:00 at night on the website. The workout is "Murph" which is a mile run, 100 pull ups 200 push ups and 300 air squats...ugh I'm getting nervous just typing about it....

My lil sis Allison is coming to town for Easter weekend she is driving down from Ssn Antonio. We are going to bbq on Saturday and just spend time with our parents, maybe even go see a movie. So lots of family time!!!!!

Jiggle Challenge Results...Week 3

Weight Loss Challenge

A week ago I weighed 175 and here is a picture of what I weigh now!! Sorry about the side pic.

I weigh 173.4 so I lost a total of 1.6 pounds!!! I'm so excited because I've never been below 175 so this is a big achievement for me. Remember I'm 6'2 so getting down to 173.6 is like winning the not really but you know what I mean.

For exercise I did crossfit and jogging

For food
For Breakfast - I ate oatmeal or an egg sandwich with Ezekiel bread
Snack - apple
Lunch - Ham sandwich, orange, and banana
Dinner - Fish and veggies, turkey burger, or chicken and veggies

This past weekend I ate healthier than I usually do which helped with my weight loss. I did eat a Big Hunk candy bar (which is low fat for candy bars) when I got a sweet tooth and I ate Marble Slab non fat frozen yogurt vanilla and raspberries and non fat dark chocolate. These sweet snacks help out so much because I feel like I'm not depriving myself of something sweet yet they are either low fat or non fat.

I'm loving that it is crawfish season and that I'm going to a crawfish boil on Friday!!!

I loving the spring fashion...I bought these shorts from Express the other day and I can't wait to wear them!!

And finally I'm loving Marble Slab's non fat yogurt with rasberries its so yummy!!

1. Tervis Tumbelrs...I love these cups!! They are pretty much unbreakable, they have a lifetime guarantee, and can hold hot and cold liquids. We have some customized that have "The Carters," I have my first initial like the picture, I have another with the Spurs logo, and I have one with a skull and crossbones with a pink bow cause our school mascot is the Pirates. If you have never had one of these tumbers I suggest to go out and get one they are awesome!!!

2. State Magnets...Every time I go to another state I buy a state magnet. I have quite a collection since I did a lot of traveling when I was a college athlete.

Fun Fridays!!

This morning I'm a little bummed out that I didn't set my alarm for my 5:30am workout. Needless to say I didn't wake up in time for Crossfit, I guess I will just have to go for a little run after work today. Anyhoo, tonight the hubs and I are going to a Hammerheads game. The Hammerheads are Corpus Christi's arena football team. These games are fast pace high scoring excitement!!

On Saturday I will do my Saturday Crossfit workout and then take my lil Sophie to the vet for her last set of shots and her heart worm medicine. After the vet Sophie and I are going to Pet's Mart for some treats and some grooming. Saturday night we are double dating with my bff Pat and her boyfriend. I'm not sure what we are doing, maybe dinner and a movie.

On Sunday I HAVE to clean and do laundry. And that should rap up the weekend!!!

Jiggle Challenge

Weight Loss Challenge

The rules of the game are simple. Write a post about your weight loss goals (how many pounds you'd like to lose) and what you plan to do to get there (exercise, diet, etc.). Then for the next 8 weeks, come back and link up and tell us about your progress: the percentage of weight you've lost (I'll get to that shortly), the exercise you've done, and how you've eaten. Any details you'd like to share.

This challege started a week ago so I'm a week behind. I want to do this on my blog so I can be held accountable of my actions. I do great on the weekdays but my downfall is the weekends. I tend to go a little overboard on the weekends whether it be eating unhealthy calories or having too many beverages. Yes I love beer and vodka drinks. I workout so hard and eat so healthy during the week and come weekend it goes to crap. I would like to lose 15 pounds, because summer is right around the corner and I would like to wear a bikini and feel good about myself. I am 6'2 and I weigh 175 which is a healthy weight for my height, but I got a spare tire around my stomach that I would love to lose. I will continue to do Crossfit for my exercises and I will add jogging 2-3 times a week. I will document what I eat on the weekends since that is when all temptation takes place. Hopefully me documenting what I eat and drink in the weekend will motivate me to eat healthier!!

Here is my workout for this week

3R4T: (3 rounds for time)

100 DU (double unders, this is where you jump rope and swing the rope twice for 1 jump)
10 Dead Lift (275/185)
1 lap plate carry (45/35) (I ran a lap carring a 35 pound weight
1k Row (1000 kilometers on the row machine

“Stupid Bistian”

25,20,15,10,5 reps of:

Wall Balls 20/14 (squat and throw a 14 pound medicine ball up against the backboard)
Push ups
Push Press 75/50

5k run
My time was 32:35 minutes


21-15-9 reps of:

HSPU (Hand stand push ups, there is no way in heck I can do a hand stand push up YET so I shoulder pressed 15 pound dumbbells)
Ring Dips
Push ups

Nike App

One of the neatest things to get on the Iphone is the Nike app. I think it's like $3.99 and its totally worth it.

This little gadget has 3 types of Runs
The Basic- Run with no set time or distance
Time- Run against the clock
Distance- Run for miles or kilometers

You can also customize your run

The app also tracks your routes and maps it!!

The app also has a power song button. When you are close to finishing your run a voice comes on saying "you are almost to your destination press the power song button to give you a boost." Believe me when think you can't run anymore and you hear one of your favorite songs come on its definetly gives a burst of energy.

At the end of each workout it shows how far you ran, what your time is, and how many calories you lost.

You can tag your run
Embellish your victory by tagging your run with how you felt, the weather you
endured and the terrain you traveled. Then add a brief not for some extra detail.

Top 2 Tuesday...Favorite Drinks

Top 2 Drinks (alcoholic or non)

1. Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper. I don't drink very many cokes but when I do its this one or I'll even settle of Diet Dr. Pepper.

2. Top shelf frozen Margarita. This drink is like a special treat for me, I don't have them too often because they are loaded with calories, but they are so good and refreshing.
