State Tournament recap and Weekend update

I have to say that being at the state tournament is an amazing experience. We drove up to Austin in style by renting a charter bus instead of going in a yellow school bus. We even got an escort out of town for the Rockport Sheriff, it was so cool. The team and coaches were definitely treated like celebrities since its Rockports first time ever appearing in the State Tournament. Checkout this cake that one of my athletes mom made. Not only is this cake so beautiful it was so yummy too!! We arrived in Austin on Wednesday night after checking in we went out to dinner at Spagetti Warehouse (not my favorite place so all I had was soup). Here is a picture of the team all dressed up....LOL look at me in the corner, I had my camera in my front pouch of my hoodie and it actually looks like I'm preggos. I guess when we get pregnant this is a good indication of how I'm might look lol... Here's a better picture of just the girls without the coaches Thursday was game day, our game was a 2:00 aginst Abilene Wylie. Going into the Frank Erwin Center Pictures of the court and scoreboard P.S. my camera sucks and I need a new one Inside the dressing room The girls and I We ended up losing our first game so we didn't advance to the finals but we did lose to the State Champions. Abilene ended up wining the whole shabang. On Friday we watched more basketball and then we went to the mall to do one of my favorite things Shop!!! I bought this outfit from Express, I saw it on the manniquin and had to have it. This outfit is really comfortable and with some heels and jewelery and maybe even a belt it can be dressed up!! That night we took the team to Austin Park, this place is pretty neat they have go carts, water boats, rock wall and arcades so much fun!! This is where I have to brag a little...I finished 1st in the go carts, I had the fastest time up the rock wall (Its all because of crossfit!!) and some of the girls on the team couldn't even make it up the wall, and I had the top score for laser tag!! Yup this 32 year old still has it lol!!!! It was a long but fun weekend we stayed till Saturday so needless to say my exercise regimine and diet were totally ruined but it was so worth it!

When I got back into town on Saturday the hubby and some friends of ours went to Rockport-Fultons Oysterfest. We drank huge beers and ate tons of raw oysters and it was sooooo good!!! here are some pics!!

  6. Congratulations to the Lady Pirates on a great season. FYI, it's extremely hard to get good photos inside of a huge arena because there is nothing for the light to bounce off of.
