What I'm Loving Wednesday

What I'm loving Wednesday!!! Wow, its seems like forever since I posted a WILW.

Of course I'm loving my baby Sophie!!! 

And I absolutely love this picture of Sophie, please excuse the way I look it was after a Crossfit workout.

I am loving my new Mizuno running shoes.  I went to Fleet Feet (which is a shoe store where the workers evaluate your foot just by watching you walk and jog)  and found out I have a neutral foot that overpronates slightly when I jog.  They suggested several shoes, but since I have a long narrow foot I loved the way the Mizunos fit.  This is my first pair of Mizunos I have ever owned, so hopefully they workout.  I haven't gone for a run in them but I will definitely post about it when I do.

And finally I'm love the 5 hour Energy Shots in Extra Strength.  I've been waking up at 5am to go to my 5:30am crossfit class.  Its the only time I can go cause I have volleyball practice after work, and we have volleyball games so I come home really late.  I'm fine with waking up that early, but after lunch its like I hit a brick wall, and this little shot of magic gets me going!!!

Back to School/Work

Its time to go back to reality.  It was a fun and restful summer but it is now over.  Well technically its been over for me 2 weeks ago, because I coach volleyball.  We have already had 2 weeks of practice and have played in a scrimmage and 2 games.  I have a good team that has tons of potential, so that's pretty exciting.  School hasn't official started yet, but being a teacher we have tons of meetings and staff development hours to complete (aka boring). 

I'm bitter sweet about coming back to school. The bitter part being I'm going to miss my 2-3 hour daily naps, and the sweet part being getting back on track with my regimen.  I gained 7 pounds over the summer.  I did workout with crossfit consistently, but I just ate unhealthy and drank too much beer.  I'm excited to get back to my 6 meals a day of healthy eating and my 5:30am workouts (ok I'm not too thrilled to be working out that early but there is NO other time to do it).  This morning I went to a crossfit workout and all I have to say is the workout was great but now I need a huge cup of coffee.  I'm also excited that I will be able to blog consistently now!!!!  I was a horrible blogger over summer but that is fixing to change!!!!

What have I been doing this summer part 2

This is a follow up post of why I have been MIA in the blogging world.

I dressed up as a hippie for my uncle's 60th suprise birthday party. It was so much fun because it was a theme party and we had to dress like the 70's!!! Here is a picture of me and my little sis Allison.

I saw several of great Texas Country concerts with some girl friends!!!

lol and one of my things of the summer is riding the mechanical bull at the Trophy Room in Austin. I actually stayed up on the bull past 8 seconds!!

Sophie has been growing and growing, she is now 11 pounds and I can't fit her in her carrying case anymore. She was suppose to be a 4-6 pound dog a tops (that's what I was told) but my little furbaby is a big girl now lol.

What have I been doing with my summer off???

WOW it seems like eternity since I've blogged, but better late than never. I have been extremely busy this summer which has been a plus for me. Here is a little inside look of what I have been up to....

I have put a lot of my time an energy working out with Crossfit. I upgraded my Crossfit membership from 3 times a week to unlimited times a week. And our Crossfit XLR8 has upgraded too!! We moved from the Community Center to our very own gym!!

Here are a couple of pics of Sophie and I getting ready for our Crossfit workout!!

I was able to bum around the beach, and get a decent tan!!! And let me tell you its been years since I've been to the beach, which is sad because I live right by the beach...

I became a True Blood fan!!

Since I didn't have HBO I never saw season 1,2, or 3 of True Blood. My sister and bff Pat kept telling me how good it was and that I needed to see it asap. Well Pat let me borrow seasons 1,2, and 3, and let me just tell you that I finished watching all those season in about a week. I'm hooked on the show and in love with Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard). What can I say who would like 6'5 of yumminess!!!

I have done my fair share times two of shopping. Here are some of the items that I purchased.

I'm a huge fan of the Nautical look plus it looks fabulous my favorite shoes Sperry's.

And here is a little dress that I couldn't resist buying.

Ok I am going to have to break up this post into 2 parts. This will be part one and hopefully tomorrow I can post part 2. I just have so much stuff that I did all summer and I do not want to leave anything out. So stay tuned for part 2!!!

I also want to thank you guys for all your sweet comments and prayers from my last post. Its been a difficult time but I'm ready to move on with my life.

Difficult time

I've been MIA because I have been going through a difficult time in my life. Dustin and I decided to file for divorce. We are in the process of moving out of our house and putting it up for sale, separating our things and getting all the paperwork done. This is extremely difficult for both of us, but I believe it's the right thing for both of us.

I'm not sure what else to say I'm at a loss for words, please keep us both in your prayers.

Jiggle Challenge Last Week

Weight Loss Challenge

This is the last week of the jiggle challenge, and all I can say is that I'm so glad I participated. I joined the jiggle challenge to be accountable for my weekends, because I would do great on weekdays and splurge on the weekends. The second reason is go get out of my 175 rut. I have been 175 for several months and wanted motivation to workout harder and eat better.

I started the challenge in the second week with a weight of 175 and I am proud to say that this is my weigh in for the last week...

I lost a total of 7.6 pounds!! I did this by doing Crossfit and eating 6 times a day. I had a couple of cheat days but I made sure to workout harder the next day.

Here is my percentage of weight lost throughout the challenge

Week 2 was my start weight 175 height 6'2
Week 3 0.91% loss
Week 4 1.15% gain
Week 5 0.57% loss
Week 6 1.72% loss
Week 7 1.81% loss
Week 8 0.36% loss

and that brings a total of 4.34% total loss!!

All I can say is that this weight loss took hard work. There is no easy or quick fix for weight loss. There is no magic pill out that can make you lose weight, the secret is eating right and working out. Calories in Calories out!!! Happy Hump day!! Wow its been like a week since I've blogged, but I am back!!

What I'm loving this week....

I am loving that this is the LAST week of school and I am off for the summer!!!

I am looooving my 2 new bikinis I bought from Victoria's Secret!!

I love that my 6'2 butt is still weighing in the 160's even after my trip to San Antonio and 4 days of bad eating.

Jiggle Challenge

Weight Loss Challenge

Well I am proud to say that this has been a great week!! I have been on my meal plan from my nutritionist for 1 week. My meal plan consist of eating 6 times a day, 3 meals and 3 snacks. I feel great and have plenty of energy. It is definitely a new way of eating for life! I weighed in yesterday at the gym before my workout and this is what the scale read...

Yes that says 168.0!!!! I am in the 160's!!!! I can't describe how excited and proud I am. Being 6'2 I don't think I have ever weighed in the 160's, not even when I was a college athlete. The best part is that I'm gaining muscle as well. My arms, back, legs, and butt, have never been this muscular, and I have to give all the credit to Crossfit.

When I started the jiggle challenge I weighed in at 175 and now I'm down to 168, I have lost a total of 7 pounds.

Here is my workout for the week


Deadlifts 3-3-3
Shoulder Press 3-3-3

300 M Row
50 double unders


21 Burpees
13 hand clean

As many rounds for 20 minutes


AMRAP in 20 minutes

5 pull ups
10 push ups
15 squats


Elipicle glider for 30 minutes



25,20,15,10,5 reps of
KBS (50/35)
MB cleans (20/14)
Push ups

Now here is my challenge, I am leaving today to San Antonio for a coaches convention. My goal is to stick to my meal plan as close as possible while going out to eat for pretty much every meal. I am going to pack all my snacks and choose healthy when eating out.

Its hump day!!! And technically my Friday because I'm heading to San Antonio tomorrow for a coaches convention.

I'm loving that I will be at the Riverwalk Thursday and Friday!

I'm loving my new meal plan that my nutritionist gave me, where I eat 6 times a day. Yes 6 times a day, 3 meals and 3 snacks!!

I'm loving the Cliff bar in carrot cake, this is one of my 3 snacks.

Something Blue

I am excited to say that I finished reading Something Blue!

I enjoyed this book. It was nice to read the story for Darcy's point of view and watch her grow into a caring person. I recommend this book, its a fun fast read but you will have to read Something Borrowed first to understand the whole story.

My next book on my night stand is....

I can't wait to get started with this book!!

This weekend the hubby and I saw Bridesmaids.

Go out and watch this movie it is hilarious. The last time I laughed this hard was when I saw the Hangover. The hubby even liked it, he thought it would be a chick flick but he laughed just as hard.
