I went and drank beer at Luckenbach Texas!!!

The Christmas Grinch

Since I'm a teacher I get 2 weeks off for Christmas Break. I had planned so many things to do during my break, like workout, finish my shopping, clean the house...etc..Well I've done nothing but catch a cold. I've been feeling so crappy for that last 2 days and its pissing me off. I haven't been able to do anything but take cold meds and eat soup. I feel like the Christmas Grinch right now, hopefully I can feel better soon. There is still a lot of shopping to be done and not much time.

My Favorite Christmas Movies

I have two favorite Christmas movies. I can watch these two movies over and over and laugh like its the first time I've seen them.

This has to be one of the funniest movies, I never get tired of seeing this movie. This movie has some of the best quotes ever.

Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny f*%^ing Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of a$$holes this side of the nuthouse.

Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is! Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?

Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

.....lol I love that movie

This movie is not only my favorite Christmas movie its pretty much one of my favorite All time movies. I love how this movie makes me laugh, I love how it makes me cry, I love the actors in the movie, I love all the stories in the movie.....

Could you imagine a guy doing this outside your doorstep....sigh....(no offense babe you have done plenty of romantic stuff form me hehe)

the story lines in this movie are so romantic

I also love the music in this movie, lets just say I love everything about it...

I got great presents from all my family like this Mrs. Clause apron from my cousins Jocelyn and Jason

and this beautiful necklace from my Aunt Yolanda and Deandra

I also got a good amount of birthday money (thanks to my family)!!!!

It was a great belated birthday dinner I loved spending time with my family, so far 32 is not too bad. Oh and if you're wondering what is up with the Sponge Bob balloon, I have never even seen the cartoon...lol Dustin went to the grocery store and thought it would be funny to buy me some birthday balloons and a balloon of Sponge Bob, which we all got a good laugh out of it.

I want to thank my family again for making my birthday dinner such a great evening.

My Favorite Christmas Ornaments

I wanted to post pictures of my favorite Christmas Ornaments. Last year I went overboard at Pier 1 Imports on ornaments. Even tho it was pricey I'm glad I did because it added to my collection and I didn't have to buy any this year....Well maybe I'll buy one for the 2010 Christmas year.

This is one of my favorites my mom gave to me 2 years ago. Its our 1st Christmas ornament.

I love my little snow man, I got him at a local store in Corpus Christi that is full of neat things

These next two are glittery and that's why I love them

And last but not least is a Santa drummer lol its too cute

Updates on Crossfit and Updates on my Bday

Dec. 1st (my birthday) was the first day of me starting Crossfit. The night before I was like a kid on Christmas night, I was too excited to sleep. My alarm went off at 5am and I quickly put on my workout clothes (I love spandex) and headed out to the gym. The instructors (all 3 of them) were all super duper nice and in great shape with awesome bodies. They helped me so much my first day (thanks Zeph, Greg and Molly). My first workout consisted of....

10R4T

10 SDLHP (75/45)
10 DU
15 MB Cleans

I know this is probably Greek to you, but I'll try and explain. 10 reps of sumo dead left with an up right row, 10 double jump ropes, and 15 medicine ball squat into a clean, and we had to do 10 rounds of all that. Since it was my first day I just had to do 5 rounds but those five rounds kicked my a$$. I haven't been this sore since college basketball. And I have to admit these workouts are a lot tougher than my college workouts. Even though I was dead tired after my workout I was hooked, I signed up and payed for Crossfit 3 times a week, and got a free t-shirt.

That night I slept like a baby and woke up again for another crossfit workout. For this workout we had the option to run a 5k or row a 5k. Since I haven't even jogged a mile in about 4 years and it was freezing cold at 5:30 in the morning, I decided to row 5k. 5 minutes into the row I was asking myself what the he!! I got myself into, but I stayed focused and finished that sucker in 29 minutes and 34 secs. Oh, I forgot to mention the workouts for the day are posted on a whiteboard, there is also a timer after you finish your workout you have to post your time. So you are competing with others but more importantly yourself.

These are the workouts I've done

Thursday
5K Run or 5 K Row

Monday
25, 20, 15, 10, 5 reps of:
Kettlebell Swings 50 lbs
Medicine Ball Cleans 20 lbs
Push-ups Burpees

Tuesday
5R4T of:

400m run
15 OHS (95/65)

Here is the website if you want to learn more about Crossfit and see the workouts!!

Ok now for my Birthday Update!!!
I forgot about the most exciting thing, look at what my hubby surprised me with for my birthday!!! DIAMOND EARRINGS!!!!

They are half a carat each and I LOVE them!!! This Sunday I'm going to celebrate my birthday dinner with my family (better late than never) at a fabulous steak house!!! Since I'm hard to shop for my family gives me birthday money which I don't complain about, I love shopping for myself. I've decided long and hard what I want to do with my birthday money and here is the verdict..........

Go to the salon and get my hair trimmed and colored

And I want a pair of navy blue tall Uggs

Well that's all my updates!! Stay tuned because I'm going to post my journey with Crossfit. I want to take measurements and pictures so we all can see results, and to keep my butt motivated.
